What is a Human Library?

A library where the books are people and you get to have engaging conversations with local members of the indigenous community in a safe and inclusive environment, allowing people to talk about all sorts of things that don’t come up in conversation in our everyday lives.
The Human Living library was created to help fight stereotypes.
Our event will have 8 members of the local indigenous community which you get to have
1-on-1 conversations with or in small groups to ask and learn about Pearl Coves indigenous history.
Check out the Human Library Website for more information!

Pearl Cove Library acknowledges all First Peoples of the Aboriginal lands we operate on and celebrate their enduring connections to country, knowledge, and stories. We pay our respects to Elders past and present. We are committed to a positive future for the Aboriginal community.
