Did you know that 7.8% of Pearl Cove's population are made up of residents that have fled from worn torn country's?
Ever wanted to ask questions about what the life of a refugee is like but were to scared to ask or just haven't got the chance to ? With our humans library event you can do just that. A humans library event is where you as the 'reader' get to 'borrow' people as 'books' for a specific set of time and have a meaningful discussion in that time frame to ask all of your pressing questions. We have 4 interesting titles for readers to choose from and 20 minutes of borrowing time.
Please join us for Refugee Week at Pearl Cove Library and book in a spot at our Humans Library event and get to know your fellow refugee neighbours one on one. There's only 25 seats available! There's also a free lunch included!
