HUMAN RIGHTS AND EQUALITY FOR ALL
“INTERNATIONAL WORKERS DAY”
TUESDAY 1 MAY 2018 @ 9am to 3pm
Venue: Pearl Cove Library (Library Courtyard)
Address: 27 Peace Avenue Pearl-Cove
This year's May Day celebration marked 126
years since Australia's first May Day March held in 1891 by striking shearers
at Barcaldine in Queensland. May Day recognizes the achievements of working
people and acknowledges the significance of the eight-hour working day.
So, come on down and revel in your First
Amendment rights, hang out and enjoy the crowds, and take all the May Day
selfies you can. As always, please contact an officer or call 000, if you have
any concerns or need to report an emergency.
