A HUMAN LIVING LIBRARY EVENT
Have you ever tried guessing someone else’s mind before?
Or wondered what they go through?
Pearl Cove Library is hosting a Human Living Library Event to spread awareness of mental illness, based on the theme of Mental Health Month October.
With this event, it creates a safe space for anyone who is curious to learn about mental illness, or to listen to someone else’s story of their mental struggles.
What is a human living library event? An event where people can choose to “borrow” a human being for the day and listen or “read” their stories. With conversation free from judgement, it can give you an insight on topics that are not normally conversed in daily lives. For more information on Human Living Libraries, click here.
