Eating Other Animals? I Just Can't Stomach It

Vegans are people who do not use or consume any animal related products.

benefits for being vegan:

Following a plant-based diet is healthy for our bodies and the environment.

Eating fresh fruits, vegetables, legumes and fiber is linked to a lower risk of heart disease
The vegetarian and vegan groups lost slightly more weight than those on a standard Western diet.

The vegan diet may offer protection against prostate, breast and colon cancers.

Vegan also help with global warming since most of the cause for global warming come from meat industry. 

 

 What is human living library?

The Human Library is a place where real people are on loan to readers. People can come to have conversation with real person, it help to understand a different perspective. In this human living library, we will have "books" who know about different aspects of vegan diet and animal's rights. We would love to have more people know about vegan lifestyle.

Michael Wilson - A Peta representative
Allen Smith - A doctor who is vegan
Hellen Johnson - A dietitian for vegan diet
Alex Campbell - A person who have been vegan for 20 years
Jack Anderson - A farmer who changed from meat farming to vegetable farming.
