Interfaith, Interconnected, One Community

Welcome to Interfaithful, Pearl Cove Library's Human Library event for the promotion of Interfaith Harmony Week and broader understanding between faiths in the Pearl Cove area.

A Human Library event involves the presence of individuals who are referred to as 'Books' for the event, and are your opportunity to 'read' about their personal experiences and extensive knowledge on their area of expertise, in this case their religious knowledge. You will be able to book a 20 minute session during our single day event while time-slots remain available to speak to one of our books and have a conversation regarding faith, religion, and community involvement.

For this event we would like to especially make welcome any families new to the area, especially in conjunction with the council's goal to make Pearl Cove a safe and accepting place for our community members seeking refuge in Australia, as well as our established community members who feel they would like an opportunity to become better involved with new community initiatives.

Event Time: 1:30pm-6:10pm February 5th 2022

Venue: Pearl Room - Pearl Cove Library

Each ‘reading’ session is for 20 minutes and held in small groups of 5-6 ‘readers’ per religious ‘book’. A total of 4 sessions will be conducted throughout the afternoon.
